This survey aims to understand practices and representations concerning climate change in the research world. To this end, it focuses mainly on the professional dimension, but also covers more personal aspects that are essential to a global understanding of the phenomena under examination. The questionnaire contains four main threads: 1. Measuring practices that result in high greenhouse gas emissions, both individual and collective (essentially transport, equipment and energy consumption): to understand their contexts and determinants, to differentiate between practices according to their purposes and the benefit that the respondents draw from them, and to identify changes in practices that have already been made for environmental reasons. 2. Exploring solutions and their acceptability: exploring the opinions of staff on changes that need to be made in the research world to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, either by advancing regulatory and organisational proposals, or by identifying areas for reduction at the individual scale. 3. Exploring staff perceptions of the environmental issues, of climate change and ecology in general, identifying any professional or personal involvement in ecology, and assessing their knowledge of greenhouse gas emissions associated with professional practices. 4. Assessing the professional and personal situation of the respondents: identifying their position in the scientific field and in their careers (discipline, status, publications, funding, internationalisation), identifying the social position of the respondents and their households.
