Download Display Driver Uninstaller DDU - Display Driver Uninstaller is a driver removal utility that can help you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, without leaving leftovers behind (including registry keys, folders and files, driver store).

The AMD/NVIDIA video drivers can normally be uninstalled from the Windows Control panel, this driver uninstaller program was designed to be used in cases where the standard driver uninstall fails, or anyway when you need to thoroughly delete NVIDIA and ATI video card drivers. The current effect after you use this driver removal tool will be similar as if its the first time you install a new driver just like a fresh, clean install of Windows. As with any tool of this kind, we recommend creating a new system restore point before using it, so that you can revert your system at any time if you run into problems.

"If you need a program that lets you cleanly and completely uninstall applications, fire up IObit Uninstaller. This free utility makes it a breeze to delete apps, including stray files that are often left behind when you use Windows to delete software from your hard drive or SSD. Competing free tools, such as Comodo Programs Manager and Revo Uninstaller, perform similar functions, but IObit Uninstaller bests those rivals with its community-based suggestions and ability to remove annoying Web browser toolbars and plug-ins. In short, if you use a Windows PC, you should download IObit Uninstaller to uninstall applications."

"I have used IObit programs for years with great effect ! For this reason I stay with IObit products.I, in the past have serviced and fixed laptops and mobiles (android) and always leave them, with IObit products installed, and ask them to regularly 'hit the big' C' and tell them it will automatically fix and speed up their laptop/computer/mobile! :)I highly recommend the uninstaller (and the latest beta) as a safe reliable program that shifts stubborn programs! Most importantly, remove 'hidden' coding that the programmer intended to leave, which then brings adverts to re-install again!IObit 'ALL' products are safe' and easy to use' most of all look after your PC's."

"I find IObit uninstaller excellent to use as it has all you could wish for. I love the fact that it uninstalls all the left over fragments. It also has a software updater which reminds you when one of the programs need updating, and the fact that it will uninstall batch programs really makes it a winner. In fact it is basically just what one needs to keep your computer good to go."

"IObit Uninstaller is the best software to remove programs on the computer, it is fast and very effective it does not compare anything with basic uninstaller of windows, it seriously cleans all the rest of the program and so there are no delays in the computer. After using the ESET Uninstaller tool, you may be required to reinstall your network adapter drivers. Follow the steps below to back up your network adapter settings and restore them after uninstallation is finished:

Restart your computer in Normal Mode. The uninstaller writes a log of all its processes to the ESETUninstaller.log file (located in the same folder as the ESETUninstaller.exe file) for future reference.

Also when a program is uninstalled, often times there are multiple files, folders, and/or Registry entries left on your system, which can cause various issues if not removed. This happens more frequently than you might think.

Revo Uninstaller acts as both a replacement and a supplement to the built-in functionality in Windows by first running the built-in uninstaller for the program, and then scanning for leftover data afterwards, making it your best choice when it comes to completely remove stubborn programs, temporary files, and other unnecessary program data that is left behind after the standard uninstall process.

The Hunter Mode can come in handy when you want to uninstall an unknown program (or at the very least disable its automatic start-up in Windows), which you cannot find listed anywhere, but you can see its window or icon.

There are different ways to remove apps and programs, so if you can't find the one you're looking for, you can try another location. Note that some apps and programs are built into Windows and can't be uninstalled. You can try to repair a program first, if it's just not running correctly.

An uninstaller, also called a deinstaller, is a variety of utility software designed to remove other software or parts of it from a computer. It is the opposite of an installer. Uninstallers are useful primarily when software components are installed in multiple directories, or where some software components might be shared between the system being uninstalled and other systems that remain in use.

Generic uninstallers flourished in the 1990s due to the popularity of shared libraries and the constraints of then-current operating systems, especially Microsoft Windows XP. Declining storage costs and increasing capacity subsequently made reclaiming disk space less urgent, while end-user applications have increasingly relied on simpler installation architectures that consolidate all components to facilitate removal.

After the release of Norton Desktop for Windows 2.0, Ken Spreitzer, who was a tester for the product at Symantec, capitalized on the uninstall idea and wrote the first widely used PC program called "UnInstaller", initially licensed to MicroHelp and then by February 1998 sold by CyberMedia. Microhelp published Spreitzer's program as Uninstaller version 1. In 1995, Spreitzer told The New York Times that the royalties he received from Microhelp for Uninstaller made him a millionaire by age 30. Tim O'Pry, while president of Microhelp, substantially rewrote the code for Uninstaller version 2, which became a best-selling program.[5]

The uninstallers disagreed on what should go. When uninstalling the Google Earth/Chrome bundle, all except CleanApp left behind components of Google Software Update. I might want to keep those components if I had other Google software installed. But the intention here was to delete everything that came with those programs, so in this respect the utilities failed.

Bulk Crap Uninstaller (in short BCUninstaller or BCU) is a free (as in speech and beer) bulk program uninstaller with advanced automation. It excels at removing large amounts of applications with minimal to no user input, while requiring next to no technical knowledge.

If you have applications on your computer that you no longer want, they can be easily removed to free up disk space and unclutter your Start menu. Windows 10 and Windows 11 include a built-in uninstall option available through the Start menu, Settings screen, and Control Panel.

If it's a Windows 10 Universal app, you can quickly and cleanly remove it through the uninstall feature in the Start menu and in Settings, but not the Control Panel applet. If you try to remove a full desktop application using Windows' built-in options, the process often leaves behind leftover folders, files, and Registry entries that can gum up your system.

In Windows 10, click the Start button and look for a program you wish to remove, either in the All Apps list on the left or in the tiled section on the right. Right-click the program. If you can remove it this way, you'll see an Uninstall option in the pop-up menu. Click it, confirm you want to uninstall it, and it's gone.

Applications often spread their folders and files throughout your system and may even populate your Registry with settings that can be difficult to track down. The uninstall features built into Windows don't necessarily remove all these leftover items, so a third-party uninstaller is needed to completely remove an application.

The challenge in fully uninstalling a Windows desktop application lies in finding the right balance. Many Windows files and Registry settings are shared by more than one program. So an uninstall utility needs to remove all leftovers for the program you're uninstalling without disrupting another program that may still rely on those items.
