Now get your keys from your modem, and install them in the router. I will show you the steps available with most modems/phones, however, I will also show a link at the bottom of this article which will help you if you don’t have any luck.
One of the most important steps in doing this is the HSPA settings. Most 3G modems have the default settings set to My Provider. You will need to change these settings to “Over The Air”, “Modem”, or “All Networks”. When you have set this, and saved it (press Menu, then Save Settings), get back to the Keygen area of the router and follow the next steps.
Next, we will click on the Basic tab -> Advanced, and click on Start. Now we can go back to our settings and add the WAN port correctly. For this instance, the modem is set to 192.168.0.1, however, I will show you the values you use, which include the downlink code, subnet mask, router IP address, and dns. The exe program allows you to enter all of these, so I will show you how to do this.
You can find the downlink code under Port Lan settings. The bolded number shows the number you enter on your modem, since it is incremental it will not change. If your modem is already set to box you can also enter the code that is printed on the back of your modem. Then on the downlink side, you will then enter module# you are using, in this case AMC45. If you are using a different modem, look up the code on your particular modem to find the correct module# and use that. MoHoHome on the site has a database of all the codes, however, it can only do the HotSpot and Lantastic DV300 models. d2c66b5586
