It is possible to install GFortran 5.4.0 on Windows 2000/2003/2008/10/2012/10/2019 systems, without Apple's boot loader. A prerequisite is Apple's boot loader as it is needed to locate GFortran's executable and the libgfortran library. We have tested the installation on Windows 10 and it worked well; however, be careful of the scripts' version numbers as they are not always correct. The Windows installer does not include the libgfortran library and we have not tested it on the more recent Windows versions. It is much easier to install Apple's boot loader libraries and headers separately, as described below.
When running the GFortran installer, Apple needs to be installed normally and not as admin. That is to say, the apple user has to be created. For more details see the Apple support articles listed at the end of this topic.
From iTunes: "The Apple Hardware Health Utility makes it easier than ever for users to understand the health of their iPod, iPhone, or iPad. Hardware Health analyzes your unit's operating system, displays an overall health indicator, and reveals detailed information about iPhone or iPad component performance. Apple Hardware Health goes beyond simple diagnostic information to help users take preventive maintenance care of their devices. An included tutorial helps users maintain optimal health with simple repairs and preservation updates. The Apple Hardware Health Utility design simplifies the process even further by isolating the critical parts and keeping them separate from your purchase history. Comprehensive reports in this installer include repairs to preserve media, iTunes, volume buttons, headphone jack, and camera." d2c66b5586
